How a doctor home visit works

There are three ways to book: the booking form on this website, WhatsApp on +971 52 770 5407, or a phone call to the same number. Tell us the service you need, your address and a preferred time. You receive a WhatsApp confirmation with the clinician's name and estimated arrival time.

In most of Dubai the doctor is at your door within 60 minutes of confirmation. The exact time depends on traffic and clinician availability, so we send the estimated arrival time on WhatsApp before the clinician leaves.

The doctor arrives in uniform with an ID badge and sealed, single-use equipment. During the visit the doctor takes your history, checks your vital signs (temperature, blood pressure, oxygen and pulse), examines you and explains the diagnosis. You get a printed prescription and, if needed, treatment on the spot such as an injection or IV fluids, a referral for tests or imaging, and a follow-up check-in within 7 days.

We visit hotels, offices and holiday homes as well as private homes. Give us the hotel or building name and your room or floor number, and the clinician announces themselves at reception.

What a doctor can treat at home

A home visit means no waiting room full of other sick people and no driving with a feverish child, and the doctor has time to examine properly: temperature, blood pressure, oxygen saturation, throat, ears, chest and abdomen. When a test would change the treatment, the doctor can do a rapid test (strep throat, influenza, COVID-19, urine dipstick) or arrange a blood draw at home during the same visit.

For vomiting and diarrhoea, the doctor can give an anti-nausea injection so that oral rehydration works again, and start an IV drip of fluids and electrolytes if you are already dehydrated. For flu and colds, the doctor decides whether you need symptomatic treatment only, an antibiotic for a secondary bacterial infection, or a chest X-ray.

Anything that needs an emergency room is redirected to 999. The box further down this page lists the symptoms that call for 999 instead of a home visit.

Our doctors see children and adults of all ages. The conditions treated at home include:

  • Fever, flu and colds, sore throat and sinus infections, cough
  • Food poisoning, vomiting, diarrhoea and dehydration
  • Migraine, urinary infections, allergic reactions, rashes and skin infections
  • Minor cuts and sprains, blood-pressure and diabetes follow-ups, and COVID-19 care

Doctor home visit price in Dubai

A Doctor On Call home visit is from AED 199. The fee covers the consultation, physical examination, diagnosis and a printed prescription. Injections, IV fluids, tests or medication are quoted separately and only performed with your agreement. All prices are in AED and confirmed before booking.

The price is the same at night, on weekends, during Ramadan and on public holidays. You can pay by card (payment link or card terminal with the clinician) or in cash at the visit. There is no deposit and no interest or late fees.

If you need blood tests, a nurse collects the sample at home and a DHA-licensed partner laboratory processes it. Most routine panels (blood count, lipids, HbA1c, vitamins, thyroid) are reported within 24 hours, and results are sent to you electronically. Hydration drips are given by a licensed nurse after a short medical screening, and a session takes about 45 to 60 minutes.

If you need more than a consultation, these services are booked separately:

Arrival times across Dubai

Our clinicians travel from our base in Arjan. The districts below have their own page with local details and the nearest emergency department. The times are typical off-peak estimates; the ETA is confirmed on WhatsApp.

A few local details help the clinician reach you. In Barsha Heights, visitor parking is often limited, so leave a contact number for building security. In Jumeirah villas, for elderly patients we ask that someone is available to open the gate and guide the clinician to the patient. On Palm Jumeirah, frond villas need the frond letter and villa number.

We cover all of Dubai, including areas without a page of their own such as Mirdif, Deira, Bur Dubai, Dubai Silicon Oasis, Damac Hills and Dubai South: message us your location on WhatsApp for a confirmed arrival time. We also dispatch same-day visits to Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and Ajman, with arrival times confirmed at booking.

Children, elderly patients and visitors

Our doctors see children and adults of all ages at home. Our nurses provide elderly care, post-surgery care, wound dressing, catheter care and medication management. A baby under 3 months with a fever should go straight to an emergency department.

Our care coordinators speak English and Arabic, and you can ask for an Arabic-speaking or English-speaking clinician when you book.

Visiting Dubai without a family doctor? You book the same way as a resident. We regularly treat guests in hotel rooms and holiday apartments: give us the hotel or building name and your room number, and the clinician announces themselves at reception.

Licensed doctors and safety

Every doctor and nurse holds an active licence from the Dubai Health Authority (DHA), or from the health authority of the emirate they practise in, and is covered by professional medical insurance. Licence numbers can be shared on request before the visit.

Clinicians follow DHA infection-control standards. You receive the clinician's name and photo before the visit, and every visit is documented in a medical report.

You pay at the visit and receive an itemised invoice and a medical report, which you can use to claim reimbursement from your insurer according to your plan.

A home visit is for urgent but non-life-threatening care. This page is general information and does not replace a medical examination.

When to call 999 instead

Call 999 or go to the nearest emergency department for chest pain, severe difficulty breathing, signs of stroke (face drooping, arm weakness, slurred speech), loss of consciousness, seizures, heavy bleeding, a severe allergic reaction or a serious injury. A home visit is for urgent but non-life-threatening care.
